Pyper Jones was a gorgeous senior who I loved working with.  We started her session at the studio.  She brought a black wide brimmed hat as an accessory and we definitely decided to utilize it.  Hats can make a wonderful accessory. Whether it's a fedora, a beanie, a sun hat, or any other type of headwear, hats have been a staple of portrait photography for a reason. Not only do they add an extra layer of character and style to a photograph, but they can also serve as a powerful visual symbol. One of the main reasons that hats are so popular in portraits is that they can completely transform the look of a person. A simple change of headwear can make a person look sophisticated, casual, playful, or serious, depending on the hat style and the way it is worn. Hats can also be used to reflect a person's personality, interests, or profession.  Whether you're looking to capture a moment in time or to tell a story, hats are a versatile tool that can help you create portraits that are both memorable and meaningful.  I may have went a little "overkill" with her hat images but she just worked it so well.
